Desiccant evaporative cooling unit driven by solar energy
The installed Solar Cooling Unit at the location of PENA is the first DEC unit installed in Greece. 
The DEC unit consists of 7 main components: the desiccant wheel, the heat recovery wheel, two humidifiers, the regenerator and the supply and return fans. 10m2 flat plate selective collectors are used for the evaporation of the absorbed humidity.
